DIRECTORATE OF ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCE MANANGEMENT

The Directorate offers expertise and services in administration and human resource management, covering key areas such as recruitment, staff development and training, promotions, discipline, retention, motivation, performance management, and employee welfare. The Directorate comprises two main sections:

  1. Administration Section: This section is responsible for interpreting and ensuring compliance with staff regulations, Standing Orders, and other relevant labor laws; providing registry, courier, office records management, and general administrative services; facilitating employee relations and welfare, including health, sports, and cultural activities and managing official protocols. Others include coordinating the implementation of the Institute’s Wage Bill; overseeing the execution of business process improvements and the Client Service Charter; promoting ethics and institutional values, preventing corrupt practices, addressing diversity issues, and fostering private sector participation.
  2. Human Resources Management Section: This section handles staff recruitment,selection, placement, confirmation, promotion, and transfers within the Institute; Human resource planning to assess and address the supply and demand for professionals; implementation of the Public Employee Performance Management Information System (PEPMIS) including performance appraisal reviews and reporting; assessing professional requirements and developing staff training and development plans.
