Uhaulishaji wa Teknolojia na Mahusiano
The Directorate places strong emphasis on the scaling up, scaling out, and dissemination of agricultural technologies, innovations, and best agricultural practices. This effort is aimed at ensuring the widespread adoption of agriculture technologies and the effective utilization of research outputs to enhance agricultural production, productivity, and farmer incomes. The Directorate of Technology Transfer and Partnership has two key sections:
1. Technology Dissemination, Commercialization, and Partnerships
This section is responsible for:
- Facilitating the transfer of appropriate agricultural technologies, innovations, and best management practices to farmers and stakeholders.
- Coordinating the collection, documentation, and dissemination of information on agricultural research technologies among researchers and other stakeholders.
- Supporting and overseeing the implementation of agricultural shows, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, symposia, and study tours.
- Assisting research Centres in commercializing technologies and innovations.
- Preparing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to establish and strengthen partnerships with national, regional, and international organizations.
2. Knowledge Management and Communication
This section is responsible for:
- Documenting and disseminating agricultural technologies and innovations.
- Repackaging and scaling up technologies for broader application.
- Identifying mechanisms, strategies, and approaches to enhance communication effectiveness.
- Establishing and maintaining databases of scientific knowledge and adopted technologies.
- Developing research tools and methodologies for identifying research opportunities and tracking their application.
- Designing and implementing communication strategies targeted at the general public through various media channels, including print, audio, visual, press conferences, and other electronic platforms.
